System requirements for installing TimeXpress


These are the basic requirements for installing TimeXpress on a PC. If your device does not meet these requirements, you may not have as great an experience with TimeXpress and might want to consider purchasing a new PC.

Internet Connection:

Internet connectivity is necessary to perform updates and to download and take advantage of some features. TimeXpress Basic, TimeXpress Professional, TimeXpress Enterprise, TimeXpress Corporate, TimeXpress Basic 365, TimeXpress Professional 365, TimeXpress Enterprise 365 and TimeXpress Corporate 365 require an internet connection during the initial setup.

There may be additional requirements over time for updates, as well as requirements to turn on specific features within the application.

Keeping TimeXpress up-to-date


TimeXpress is designed to deliver updates for the supported lifetime of the application. Two types of updates may be provided: quality updates and feature updates. Quality updates include both security and non-security updates and are typically targeted to be released twice a year. Feature updates include quality updates as well as add new features to TimeXpress and are typically provided once a month. Ensuring that your software receives these updates and is kept up-to-date is important for your application security. TimeXpress periodically checks for updates so you don’t have to. When an update is available it will bring a notification. So that TimeXpress continues to stay updated, it’s important to ensure your device has sufficient available space.

Important notes about updates:

  • An internet connection is required to perform updates and Internet access (ISP) fees might apply.

TimeXpress V4

TimeXpress V4 only got a default theme (Blue)

TimeXpress V5

TimeXpress V5 support 11 Themes at Version 5.1.0.3, this number may increase as newer version got released.


Multimonitor

All version of TimeXpress support the use of more than one monitor, the difference comes wend user ask for some function. On TimeXpress V4 and lower, the application can be placed on a second screen, and will always appear there until user change position, but if user try to do a backup, the dialog will appear on the PC main screen, regardless of the monitor TimeXpress is loaded.
TimeXpress V5 will load any dialog into the same monitor TimeXpress is loaded, helping users to easily see the dialog since is presented on the same monitor as TimeXpress it is.


Software Features

TimeXpress was created with clients in mind, an easy to use interface that is simple to navigate. We loaded it with great features so that you can manage your employees time from A to Z, all in one place, with minimal effort. Track and report employee time and attendance, schedule holidays and personal days off, define employee schedules and configure employee payment options, including over-time and double-time calculations.
Generate reports that will automatically calculate your employees total hours based on their punches, export and save these reports in several different file formats including Excel and PDF. Import your employees information from a CSV file, Export then to a CSV, XLS or XLSX file.

Round Off Times

Choose a pre-defined rule, or create your own rule and automatically round off your employees times.
Options run from 5, 10, 15, 20 and 30 minutes, with options to select how punches will be affected.

Professional Edition

The Professional edition of our Software will enable the additional features below to enhance your experience and facilitate your work.

Payroll Providers

Export your employees hours and payment information to QuickBooks, ADP, PAYCHEX, CSV, Heartland, GMS, CheckMark, TotalTrack, CPI, MyPayrollHR, Paycor, Replicon or Paylocity. Our software generates compatible payroll files that can then be easily imported into your Payroll Providers application.

Security

Create multiple software administrators with multiple levels of permissions: User permissions can be defined to allow or restrict access to Employee Control, Device Management, Reports, Exports and/or specific Departments. Furthermore there is a footprint, so that you can easily identify if a record was modified and by whom.
This feature also provides the ability to install and activate the software for more computers. The database folder can then be centralized in a shared location on your network, so that each software points and synchronizes to the same database.

Schedule Data Control

Schedule an automatic download of punches from your time clock to the software. The automatic collection can be set for once a year up to once every hour.
You can also set an automatic backup of the software database for security and protection from accidental data loss.
Now time synchronization can be managed too, so device will be always in correct format.

Unlimited Devices and Employees

Manage an unlimited number of time clocks from the same software. This feature also enables the remote access of a time clock through a LAN, VPN or DDNS. / Manage an unlimited number of employees in your software.

Multiple Companies

Manage an unlimited number of companies within the same software. TimeXpress new feature will present the list of already created companies to let you chose the one to work, or will present a link to create a new one, also there is a link to change database path or type in case needed.
